Mr. Fix-It

When we moved into our house we loved the idea that we had a tub with jets. The catch is that they have never worked the whole time we have lived here. We have thought about fixing them but never gotten around to it. We don't take baths very often, just the boys, and they are scared of them anyway so whats the point in rushing to fix them?

The other day I was trying to figure out the problem with them on my own, nothing serious, mostly because I don't know what to look for. Anyway, I decided that we should probably call one of Chris's brothers to come take a look at it but it could wait.

So tonight, Dallin was taking a bath. He has a little baby hair brush and he was using it as a hammer in the tub and whacking the sides. I am not quite sure why Chris was letting him do this, since we sometimes have problems with Dallin hitting a lot. Anyway, I was putting Tristan down for the night so I wasn't in there. I was rocking Tristan, giving him his bottle right before bed, listening to Dallin whack the tub with his baby hair brush and then all of a sudden a huge noise started in the bathroom! It scared the bejeebers out of me and Tristan but it sure scared Dallin more. Some how, through his whacking the tub, he got the button for the jets to finally turn on! So he had been happily standing there, whacking the tub and all of a sudden the water becomes a whirling mass of fury and he started to scream. My immediate reaction was that a garbage disposal had somehow been hooked up to the tub and got turned on and was going to chop Dallin up... Can we just say I have an over-active imagination?

I felt bad that Dallin got scared so bad, it took Chris like 10 minutes to calm him down, but I am glad that Dallin could get the jets in our tub working! Now to clean them out all the way and then take a nice long relaxing bath with the jets on.

Time for a Change

So, what do you think about my new blog layout? I think for the first time ever I am happy with a template I was able to find on the internet! I have tried using the generic ones, I have tried making my own and I have never been happy with the finished result. But I spent about 10 minutes looking at templates today and saw this one and I thought "I like how that looks and it makes me happy inside". We change our decorations in our homes to suit our moods and the seasons, maybe I should do it for my blog as well, because in a way, it is an extension of my home.

Its almost here!

Spring is getting so close! I can feel it in the air and I am sure it is just around the corner! On Sunday it was a pretty nice day after nap time and so Chris took the boys outside for a bit to enjoy the warmth. It was light-jacket weather. I love light-jacket weather.

Since Tristan still can't run around Chris got him all bundled up and stuck him in our awesome double jogger so that he would stay warm but wouldn't have to be held the entire time they were outside. He looks so cute. When I finally went outside Chris said that Tristan was a little Obi Wan Kenobi. With that hood he could pull it off. Though he doesn't have the facial hair yet. And Dallin couldn't wait to run around the yard!

Mr. Dallin running around the yard! He knows that the yard is his to run around in so we will be in one area and all of a sudden he will take off for the bottom of the hill. He is learning how to run so fast on that downhill! Sometimes he won't even fall!

Chris and I love to throw the frisbee around and so anytime Chris takes Dallin out he will take the frisbees because he know I will come out eventually and Dallin loves to watch us throw them around. He will go pick them up for us and will bring them back for us to throw again and again and again!

Dallin's other favorite past time outside in the yard is sticks. He will find a stick and whack the tree with the stick or he will rake leaves with a stick or he will just run around waving it. He is such a cutie, but very dangerous too!

Tristan using "The Force". "You want to snuggle me Mommy". "You will snuggle me Mommy". He is such a cutie.

I love being outside and my boys love it too. I can't wait to have more warmth and sun and be out every day!

6 Months Already!

My little Tristan turned 6 months old on the 22 of February. He has become such a joy in our lives and it is hard to believe how fast the time has gone. As so many people have said every child is different and it is so very true for my boys. Tristan and Dallin have many similarities but at the same time they are so very different.

This is Tristan at one month. See how slim he is, with those little legs?

Almost the same pose at 6 months. Some big legs!

My little boy is growing up so fast and I love him oodles. I love both of them. I do wish we could focus on him a bit more but that is the curse of subsequent children. He is becoming so much more interactive and we enjoy playing with him so much these days! His giggles are bright lights in my day and him falling asleep in my arms in the evenings with his last bottle is a wonderful way to end a hard day of being a mommy. I am so glad we were blessed with this little guy.
