Bubbles!

I don't really have anything post worthy but it has been a while since I posted last so I thought I should go ahead and post something! We still aren't in our house yet but we will be this weekend! The installation of the HVAC is taking longer than we were originally told. I don't know why, it just is. But they have all the duc twork in and it really seems like the last little bit they have to do is put in the vent registers and the thermostats. So here is hoping for this weekend!

Even though we aren't in our house we do visit it often. And when we do, one of Dallin's favorite past times is to watch us blow bubbles. He likes to chase them too but he isn't all that great at running around on our lawn so he usually just sits and we blow bubbles to him. So here are some cute pictures of my baby boy, enjoying the bubbles we have at our house.

Look at that smile of pure delight. Some days when it is nice enough to actually be in the house, we do bubbles in the kitchen. But that usually only happens when we accidentally leave the bubble bottle out where Dallin can find it and he then brings it to us and waits somewhat patiently for us to open it and blow bubbles for him. It is so cute how he knows what is in the bottle and he can't wait for us to blow bubbles!

Then here is my cool little boy with Chris's sun glasses on him. Dallin never gets to play with glasses and when Dallin and I wait in the car for long periods of time, we try on Daddy's sun glasses. He has fun and he looks so cute. I mean cool...

Otherwise, not much is going on for us. We will be moving the rest of our stuff here at Peggy's to our house when the HVAC is all done. Probably not until Friday night though. Maybe Thursday. Then I can finally get settled in a bit more. Granted, Tristan's room is still in shambles but us actually being at the house will give us more time to work on it and I don't think it will take us too much longer! Here is hoping.

My house!

I finally remembered to take my camera to the house and get some pictures of the outside. I will get pictures of the inside this week if I can find batteries. I have been taking some pictures today but they are more to document the work that is going into the house currently. And let me tell you... there is a lot of work! But that is for a different post. This post is to show my house from all angles!

From the driveway this is the view of the house. We have bushes that line the road and then the garage is to the right of the giant bush in front of the house and behind the dark green pine tree is the corner of the house.

This is down on the front left corner of the house looking straight back to the fence separating our yard from our neighbors pasture. There are horsies and cows back there! Some day I will talk to the owner of the animals and find out if Dallin can feed the horses. I think he would enjoy that.

This is the back left corner of the house. Lots of bushes. If you notice, the bushes in the left of the picture are actually covering up our deck so you can't even see it. They are some intense trees.

This is where there once was a pool. I don't think we will ever get a pool since I would feel I would have to watch our very young children every time they go outside. Maybe if they were older but since they are babies I don't want to chance it. Instead we have an awesome blow up pool that was wonderful to go sit in today! As for the pool area though, we are going to put in a nice little patio where we could grill or have a fire pit. I think it all depends on how many rocks I have.

This is next to the pool area looking up the hill at the impenetrable jungle that has grown up around the house since it has been untended. It is amazing how things grow here. Ridiculous, actually. One big tree has put these tiny saplings EVERYWHERE. We are going to have our work cut out for us this fall when the leaves fall off and we can see what we are tearing up.

This is the back of the house. The door leads to the basement and there is a deck somewhere in the left of the picture, but you can't see it because of the jungle.

Here is the deck! It is very over grown and scary to me. I don't like to be out there. You can also see the garage and the walkway that you can go back around the house to the front.

This is the deck still but it has the mudroom door in the picture. Everyone else calls it a breeze way but I had never heard of one of those until I came to Maryland so it is a mudroom to me. You can see how incredible all those trees and bushes are. It is so close on the deck that it really does creep me out to be on it because I don't know what can be lurking in the bushes and underneath the deck.

This weekend we put in a lot of hours over at the house. Cousin Laura came up and we enjoyed her company a lot but she was also a huge help to us getting stuff done at the house. While Chris and his brother installed a light in Tristan's room, Laura and Carter were out back trimming the jungle and it looks SO much better. I wound up feeling really sick while I was outside. It was way too hot for me and I just couldn't handle it. But now I have a decent deck that doesn't scare me and a bedroom that is unliveable. I will take the pictures off of my camera soon so you can see the difference some pruning does and also what we have done to Tristan's room.
